The stem has to droop downward and the flower will form on the end of the leaf

The Dragon Fruit will require frames. A thickish upright pole with a horizontal beam at the top. Fruit only occurs on downward dropping "leaves".

I have read that after setting that up, and they reach the height, that they fruit when cut? A friend has them nearby but he has no fruit even though they are 5 ft high now.
